The HPV vaccine helps protect against the human papillomavirus, a common infection that can lead to cervical, throat, and other cancers, as well as genital warts. Gardasil 9 protects against nine HPV types, offering the broadest protection available. It is recommended for boys and girls starting at age 9, and for adults up to age 45 who haven’t completed their series.
